Vesica Piscis charts

Whoops! I just rewatched my video on vesica piscis soft transitions and realized I'd promised to post the charts I'd used to work through these transitions and never did. Here they are, along with the original video--they depict a series of soft transitions from cateyes to triquetras and vice versa in which the overlap in hand paths between the triquetras resembles the vesica piscis pattern sometimes seen in sacred geometry. Enjoy!

Danny Baltimore

Danny first endeared himself to me by playing a remix of a metal song I love in the first set I ever heard him play here in DC. Since then he’s become a fixture of the East Coast flow world--playing at Flow Festivals all along the coast and probably indulging me a little too much by dropping rock songs into his sets. Recently he’s entered the production world and has been writing his own music, experimenting with the soundscapes that first inspired him to dive into the music world.

Teee

My name is Tehilah [tee.eye.laa] and I am beyond in love with flow. I have always had a talent for hulahooping as a child, but once I saw modern day hoopers - everything changed! I've been hooping since 2012 and I have found so many different ways to connect myself within my flow. My aim is to try to implement as much dance as possible while connecting to the music in a way where I can showcase my personality. I have now learned more flow props and I intend to keep at it!

Jo Faid

Jo first came to my attention when she posted on Poi Chat a year and a half ago, a flow video that reminded me so much of my friend Kate McCoy’s style that it was downright eerie. Since then Jo and I have exchanged ideas around plane breaking back and forth via Instagram videos, inspiring each other to find new ways to use horizontal plane moves and integrating dance into both our spinning styles. She’ll be teaching her first ever workshop at DrexFest 2020 and I’m really excited to learn from her!

In Jo’s own words:
