One of the greatest tech poi spinners active today, Liz has been a powerful force in innovation for cutting edge tricks, organizing the community, and building a super successful flow business.

I first met Liz nearly a decade ago at the first Winter Fire Arts at Wesleyan College and in that time I’ve watched her become one of the most respected tech spinners on the internet, create fascinating and powerful stage performances, run the Ladies of Tech Poi yearly video compilation, and build one of the most impressive businesses in the Flow Arts. In particular her work on stacking, body tracers, and poi throws has been jaw dropping and hugely influential to me.

Liz Knights is an avid flow artist specializing in poi, buugeng and hooping. She has taught at numerous festivals, organized the Ladies of Tech Poi collaboration series and has been featured in Drex’s very own “Top 10 Poi Spinners” video.

In non pandemic-times, she runs a Boston-based entertainment company, Cirque de Light, specializing in fire, LED, and circus performance and is also a bookings manager for the Boston Circus Guild. When she’s not busy spinning she can be found sewing sparkly costumes and doing her best to keep her two cats away from those sparkly costumes.
