The fall festival season is upon us! Here's all the festivals I'm confirmed to be attending and/or teaching at this fall:

8/3-5: Spark Fire and Flow Retreat, Chillicothe, IL
8/17-20: August Wildfire, Ashford, CT
8/27-9/3: Burning Man, Gerlach, NV
9/4-6: Lake Tahoe Flow Arts Festival, Kings Beach, CA

Following up on a great suggestion from TZ Rogers, Charlie Cushing and I spent the last couple fire festivals working on coming up with a way to use Lanternsmith's handles for fire poi. The benefits are that the silicone handles feel great in the hand and because they glow in the dark they're difficult if not impossible to lose. To achieve the weight I prefer for my handles, we wound up cutting a handle in half but it's worked out well enough Charlie is going to start molding handles to that form factor.

Mischief's Naughty Snow Ball brought some of the very best fire dancers in the East Coast together in the freezing cold to perform for an audience of over 800. Here is Dale Fisher from Baltimore laying down some nasty action with his doubles. Enjoy! :)
